Ranking places MKU among top three private universities in Kenya
Mount Kenya University (MKU) is among the top 120 universities in Africa, according to the 2017 uniRank report. The institution was ranked number 117 overall out of 200, emerging eighth in Kenya and second among the top ranked private universities in the country.
UniRank is an international higher education search engine and directory that reviews more than 12,000 accredited universities and colleges in the world. The ranking gauges the web popularity of these higher education institutions. The Web metrics ranking has been published since May 2005. Since then, the ranking methodology has been periodically polished to provide better results.
MKU continues to gain popularity as this research shows. A recent survey by research firm Breakthrough Consulting for Madison Insurance Company also found that MKU is among the ten universities preferred by employers, students and parents in Kenya.
