MKU among the top 100 Universities in Africa
Mount Kenya University has been ranked in position 6 in Kenya and positions 96 in Africa by uniRank ranking in their 2019 African University Ranking of the top 200 recognized higher-education institutions in Africa.
uniRank considered 62 Universities in Kenya. The ranking also ranked Universities social media presence , where MKU pulled a great performance and was ranked position 2 in Facebook, 3 in Youtube and 4 I Twitter. The University Instagram page was not ranked.

On YouTube the University was ranked position 3 with Strathmore University leading followed by University of Nairobi
