MKU Delegates attend Angola-Kenya Trade and Investment Conference 2019
Representatives from Mount Kenya University Council and Student Recruitment Office have concluded their visit to Angola where they attended the Angola-Kenya Trade and Investment Conference in Luanda, Angola 23rd- 26th July 2019 under the auspices of Kenyan Ambassador to Angola, H.E Josphat K. Maikara and Angola Ambassador to Kenya H.E Sianga Abillio.
Dr Vincent Gaitho , Vice-Chair of the University Council, made a presentation, where he addressed the issue of education in Kenya, student employability and entrepreneurship. He highlighted the need for joint research between Angolan and Kenyan Universities.
During their visit the representatives met and shared ideas with H.E Domingos Viera Lopes, Secretary of the State for International Cooperation of the Ministry for External Affairs and H.E Sergio Santas, Secretary of State for Economy of the Ministry of Economy and planning.
The Conference was attended by the following Kenyan organizations Aipex(African Multinationals doing profitable business in Angola), University of Nairobi , Tangaza University, Winteam International, St Andrews Turi , Ngorongo Tea among others
The Group also visited the Afritrack Angola, Universidade Agostinho Neto, Universidade Oscar Ribas, Universidade Gregorio Samedi among other key interested partners
