NC state University Students visit MKU
A big shoutout to the NC State University College of Engineering students for visiting Mount Kenya University
During their stay, they had meaningful interactions with students and faculty from the School of Engineering and the Built Environment, fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration. The team was welcomed by Prof. Peter Wanderi, Principal in charge of Marketing, Communication, Linkages and partnerships. The team toured the University where they appreciated
As part of a cultural exchange, the teams also participated in a fun activity outside campus, strengthening connections beyond academics.
Their main objective was to develop solutions for creating or improving a “3rd Place” location—a concept by Ray Oldenburg that refers to social spaces outside of home and work where communities can connect and thrive. Engineer Oscar Juma, Dean school of Engineering and the built environment applauded the team for visiting and took them for a tour to the MKU engineering laboratories.

Engineering students where able to share ideas and experiences surrounding their teaching and learning and how they can contribute to the communities using the knowledge they gain at the University.
