MKU Don leads African sports management scholars in a WASM publication
The world Association of Sports Management (WASM) which was established in 2013 and is headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan, published its first sport management text book in December 2016 entitled “Global sport management: contemporary issues and inquiries”, edited by Professors Brenda G. Pitts and James J. Zhang. Prof. Peter Wanderi, Director, Quality Assurance and linkages at MKU led a team of Kenyan and Uganda scholars in contributing the 3rd chapter entitled “The role of globalization, partnership and technology in enhancing sports excellency in Africa”
Amongst the co-authors is this book chapters are Prof. Kihumbu Thairu of University of Nairobi, Dr. Andanje Mwisukha, who is the acting Register Academics at Kenyatta University and other sports science scholars from Kyamboga University, Uganda. The new book is selling at 20% discount rate of USD 119.96 (Ksh 11, 996). Prof. Wanderi is a founder executive committee member of the World Sport Management Association (WASM) and the Africa Sport Management Association (ASMA) founded in 2013 and 2009 respectively.
