MKU Participates in East Africa Universities Games , Tanzania
The 11th Edition of the East Africa Universities Games was held in Dodoma, Tanzania from 16th to 22nd December, 2018. A total of 56 East Africa Universities teams participated in the event. Mount Kenya University (MKU) was represented by a delegation of 105 players and (16) officials led by the Dean of Students as the overall in charge.
MKU participated in 13 disciplines (Handball Men & Ladies, Netball Ladies, Badminton men, Lawn Tennis, Soccer Ladies, Table Tennis, Swimming , Karate Men, Scrabble, Karate Women, Athletics, Chess) achieving 11th position overall in the games out of 56 Universities. The team also scooped two (2) gold medals, three (3) silver medals, and eleven (11) bronze medals.
The teams recorded their best performance ever since they began participating at the East African Universities games.
