MKU Bachelor of science in Environmental Heath receive Accreditation
Mount Kenya University becomes the first University to receive accreditation by Ministry of Health for its Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health programme.
The accreditation ceremony was held in Main campus, Thika and was attended by Dr. Eva, Chair, Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC). On her address she said “Today’s ceremony therefore, marks an important milestone in compliance with the regulation of training standards for public health officers and technicians in Kenya. I am glad to report that the public health Officers and technicians council has inspected the Mount Kenya University – main campus and it has met the requirements for accreditation to train public health officers at degree level,”
During the accreditation, the Public Health Officers and Technicians Council (PHOTC) led Dr. Eva to officially open the newly constructed and equipped environmental skills lab at MKU. The Laboratory has the entire necessary infrastructure to conduct research assessment for quality of foods and other consumable products that are available in our shops and markets
