MKU Holds Public Health Conference
The conference which was organized by School of Public Health, Mount Kenya University in collaboration with African Institute of Public Health Professionals – AIPHP.
The conference which was themed “Contemporary Issues in Public Health Practice in Africa”” was graced by Dr. Wondimagegnehu Alemu, World Health Organization Representative to Nigeria as the chief guest,Professor John Francis Mugisha, Vice Chancellor of Cavendish univsity Kampala Uganda, Professor Okwoma C. Abanobi, Chairman, Board of Directors, African institute of Public Health Professionals, Dr. Carol Edem, Deputy Director Community Health Training Officers at University of Calabar Nigeria, Mr. Bosire CEC, Nyamira County, Dr. Kellen Kimani, Director Kiambu County, Mr. Wilson Liambilia, Director Population Council Kenya among other guests
The 1st International Public Health Conference 2018 delves on Collaboration and partnerships that seek to bring all African Public Health Professionals together in hosting and organizing joint conferences for purposes of sharing new knowledge in public health and dissemination of research findings.
