Dawa Life Sciences is a Kenyan company with core competencies in healthcare. Recently students from the School of Pharmacy led by Prof. Bindu Madhavi and Dr. Johnson Murage led 30 students to their industry for an academic tour.
They were able to access their manufacturing sites, Quality Assurance areas as well as packing of Pharmaceutical drugs. They had a first-hand experience in following the manufacturing of medicines from raw materials to the final product. There were discussions with the various teams that provided that important link between academics and industry. Graduands will be better placed to choose their line of interest while improving the collaboration between MKU and industry so that the quality of teaching is better and student experience is amplified.
Dawa Life Sciences will continue supporting our students and MKU stands to benefit from the practical exposure in the local manufacturing of medicines.
