A word of Congratulations to the Heart-To-Heart Foundation
Mount Kenya University wishes to congratulate The Karen Hospital’s Heart-To-Heart Foundation for the successfully organized 2025 Heart-To-Hear Run and for all other Runs that have taken place in the past since 1993. Well done for this age long “Legacy of Compassion and Healing” using your own words from your website.
Ladies and Gentlemen as you are aware matters of health are a major component of the Kenya Vision 2030’s Social Pillar. Additionally, matters of health are conspicuously reflected on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals as the Goal No.3 on Good Health and Wellbeing. I say this with a lot of appreciation to the fact that, Mount Kenya University is a member university to United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) and is currently the UNAI SDG9 Hub- Chair on Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure between 2025 and 2027.

Therefore, what has brought us here this morning is both of National and International importance. At this point Ladies and Gentlemen, allow me to relate Mount Kenya University with The Karen Hospital’s Heart-To-Heart Run and Heart-To-Heart Foundation.
To start with, MKU and The Karen Hospital are cordial partners and MKU Foundation as well as MKU’s College of Health Sciences are prominent stake holders. Mount Kenya University has invested in 5schools within the College of Health Sciences namely the School of Nursing, School of Public Health, School of Pharmacy, School of Clinical Medicine and Medical School.
As a university we are happy with the partnership that we have with the Heart-To-Heart Foundation and The Karen Hospital fraternity.
About Physical Exercise for Health
It is also impressive that the Heart-To-Heart Foundation identified an annual physical run as the fundraising method. This is because in running, all do benefit in many ways including enhancing our cardiovascular system. On behalf of Mount Kenya University, we wish The Karen Hospital’s Heart-To-Heart Foundation a bountiful or abundant gains in this annual Heart-To-Heart Run today and in the future.
In conclusion, we express our sincere appreciation to The Karen Hospital Founders for the cordial relationship that has been established between them and the MKU Founder and the entire MKU fraternity.

May this partnership grow in leaps and bounds, today and in the future.
