MKU to hold a symposium on Weight Management
MKU College of Health has brought together renown specialists from MKU medical school, Nanavati Super speciality hospital (India), Makerere University (Uganda) and Kenyatta University to a symposium.
The symposium’s objective is to share preventive and management strategies for the obesity epidemic. Overweight and Obesity have affected more than a billion people hence a risk factor for Cardiovascular diseases.
We need to get ahead of this epidemic before it becomes a pandemic. Key topics will be on how to manage obesity by diet, exercise, medication and surgical management.
