MKU now ready to register Government –Sponsored (KUCCPS) students
Prof Waudo commends the University as it has continued to be a premier destination for thousands of both Government- sponsored and self-sponsored students. MKU remains a global Centre of Excellence, as a research by international firm (CPS International) ranks Mount Kenya University graduates among the top institution preferred by most employers.
The University management congratulates and extends a warm welcome to all the successful Government -sponsored students who have been selected to join Mount Kenya University to pursue their careers in internationally recognized academic programmes delivered in an inclusive student-centred environment.
The students placed in the academic year 2020/2021 are expected to report as outlined:
- ONLINE REGISTRATION
The Online registration of KUCCPS students placed in the year 2020 will start on Monday 3rd August, 2020 and end on Friday 14th August, 2020. Because of the ongoing COVID 19 Pandemic, all KUCCPS students are guided to use the procedure below to register.
For a student to be Registered, he/she needs to:
- a) Pay requisite fees indicated in admission letter.
- b) Fees to be paid to the Account numbers indicated on the admission letter or via Lipa Na Mpesa, Pay Bill (GTBANK), Business Number: 270988, Account Number: Student Reference Number on admission letter
NB: Admission documents should be duly filled for submission to the University when On-Campus activities resume. This is in compliance with Presidential Directives and Ministry of Health guidelines in preventive and containment measures against Covid-19 Pandemic.
- STUDENTS ONLINE TRAINING AND ORIENTATION
There will be an online training on how to use university e-Learning platforms and orientation for all new students who will have registered from Monday 17th August, 2020 to Friday 4th September, 2020.
3.REPORTING AND COMMENCEMENT OF TEACHING
Commencement of teaching and learning is scheduled to commence on Monday 7th September, 2020 as per the university’s Academic calendar.
4.INTER- UNIVERSITY TRANSFER AND COURSE TRANSFER
For the 2020/2021 Placement Cycle, the KUCCPS is conducting Inter-Institutional Transfer process for students who may wish to change their programmes .
The online application system for Inter-Institutions transfers (IIT) will be on from June 15, 2020 to August 15, 2020.
Mount Kenya University has opened vacancies for those students who wish to transfer and change courses through inter-faculty transfer.
